May Events

• Tween Cinco De Mayo Nacho Party- Monday, May 4, 3:30–5:30PM: Celebrate Cinco De Mayo a day early with a nacho bar (extra limes) while we watch a “Nacho” themed movie.

• Tween Library Council-Monday, May 11, 4-5PM: Tween Library Council is a group of tween volunteers. Our goal is to create tween library events.

• Tween Water Balloons @ Banner Park-Saturday, May 30, 11:30AM-1PM: Kick off summer with a classic water balloon fight! Show up ready to get splashed and enjoy some hot dogs too! Banner Park is located one block North of Noble Ave., between 10th & 11th St.

June Events

• Tween Movie Afternoons- Thursdays, June 4, 11, 18 & 25, 1-3PM: Enjoy a selection of films curated by our Tween Library Council. 

• Tween Library Council-Monday, June 8, 4-5PM: Tween Library Council is a group of tween volunteers. (ages 8 – 12) Our goal is to create tween library events.

• Boneheads: A Peek Inside the Past- Tuesday, June 9, 1-2PM: Are those teeth built for crunching plants, slicing meat, or a bit of both? What do the extra openings on the skull mean? Through guided observation, and group discussion, you will build your skills in biology and critical thinking while getting up close with some amazing real and replica skulls. Sign-up required. • Tween Escape Room- Monday, June 22, First Session: 1-2PM, Second Session: 2:30-3:30PM: An Egyptian themed escape room designed by a real Egyptologist! Can you escape from the mummy’s tomb in time? Sign-up Required. Sign-up in the event binder inside the library or by calling the library at 405-282-0050. 

• Tween Learn About Fossils- Monday, June 29, 4-5:30PM: Learn about fossils, gemstones and Earth science from some experts and take home your very own fossil! Sign-up required. Sign-up in the event binder inside the library or by calling the library at 405-282-0050.
